magnetic levitation projects:

Magnetic levitation, maglev, or magnetic suspension is a method by which an object is suspended with no support other than magnetic fields. Magnetic force is used to counteract the effects of the gravitational acceleration and any other accelerations. Magnetic levitation Mk I 2004 I am working on potential exhibits for the Gravity Discovery Centre in Gingin, Western Australia, as part of an ‘antigravity’ display. Magnetic levitation is the most commonly seen and used form of levitation. Diamagnetic materials are commonly used for demonstration purposes. In this case the returning force appears from the interaction with the screening currents. Defy Gravity ! Enhance Levity! This simple electronic kit uses magnetic levitation to suspend small objects up to about 1/2 ounce (15 Grams) or so in mid air. This is an ideal science Magnet Levitation Set (Magnetic Levitating Train) If you have learned about magnets and magnetic poles, you may want to demonstrate one of the practical applications of repelling poles as your science project. Magnetic levitation (maglev) can create frictionless, efficient, far-out-sounding technologies. Here are some of the craziest uses that engineers and designers have dreamed up. A while back I published an Instructable for a wireless screen, as part of my GR.9 science fair. Right at the top I mentioned that when the project was done, that I would publish an Instructable on my project, which happened to be Levitation. Now before I get started, I would like to say that the Crealev, company specialized in Maglev Technology Design, Floating, Display and Levitation products. Based in Eindhoven The Netherlands Mag Soar engineers are specialized of the design, development and customization of magnetic gears, magnetic dampers, magnetic torque limiters and magnetic suspension solutions .
